PDF Splitter is a Windows application that allows you to split a PDF file into multiple smaller PDFs based on your chosen criteria. You can split by a fixed number of pages or by custom page ranges.

🔧 How to Use PDF Splitter

📄 Select a PDF File

Click the Browse button next to the PDF file input box.
In the dialog, select a .pdf file from your computer.
The selected file path will appear in the input box.

📁 Select Output Folder

Click the Browse Folder button next to the output directory box.
Choose a folder where the split PDF files will be saved.
The selected folder path will appear in the output directory box.

✂️ Choose Split Option

Split by Every N Pages:

Select the “Every Page” option.
Enter the number of pages per split in the “Per Page” box (e.g., enter 5 to split every 5 pages).

Split by Custom Page Range:

Select the “Custom Page Range” option.
Enter your desired page ranges in the “Custom Pages” box (e.g., 1,2-3,4,5 to split pages 1, 2-3, 4, and 5 into separate files).

⚙️ Metadata and PDF Type

Choose whether to maintain the original PDF metadata (title, author, creator).
Select the output PDF type (PDF or PDF/A).

🚀 Start Splitting

Click the Start button.
The status label will update with progress and completion messages.
Split files will be saved in the selected output folder.

✅ Input Validation

You must select a valid PDF file.
You must select an existing output folder.
If splitting by every N pages, enter a positive integer in the “Per Page” box.
If splitting by custom range, enter valid page numbers/ranges in the “Custom Pages” box.
If any required input is missing or invalid, you will see a warning message.

💡 Example Usage

Split every 5 pages:

Select “Every Page”, enter 5 in “Per Page”, and click Start.

Split by custom ranges:

Select “Custom Page Range”, enter 1,2-3,4,5 in “Custom Pages”, and click Start.
